Dear MAYOR AND COUNCIL MEMBERS..

THIS LETTER IS TO INFORM YOU OF THE ACTIVITY'S OF THE BOROUGH'S 
VOLUNTEER FIRE DEPARTMENT.

AS YOU WILL SEE BY THE ENCLOSURE WE HAS A VERY BUSY YEAR IN 2002.
WE HAD 14 REQUESTS FOR THE FIRE SERVICE. 4 AT THE BERGEN COUNTY FACILITY
4 AT THE JEWISH HOME  2 AT CARLEE CORP. 1 MUTUAL AID TO NORTHVALE
1 HAZMAT CALL ON PIERMONT FOR DRUMS OF UNKNOWN CHEMICALS. AND SEVERAL MISC.
CALLS.

A FULL BREAKDOWN IS ENCLOSED ALONG WITH A BREAKDOWN FOR THE CLOTHING 
ALLOWANCE

2002 NEWS

R.V.F.D. Re-Organization Underway

3 September 2002. In accordance with the Rockleigh Volunteer Fire Department, Inc. By-Laws, a Special Meeting was called by the Chief of the Department for the specific purpose of Re-Organizing the Rockleigh Volunteer Fire Department, Inc.  

     1. Six new members were inducted into the Resident Brigade.

     2. Administrative and Command Officers were selected by vote as required in the By-Laws (see minutes).

     3. Regular meetings will occur at 8:00 PM on the first non-holiday Tuesday of each month. If the first Tuesday is a Holiday, the meeting will be held on the next following Tuesday.  Association Meetings will occur on the first Tuesday of March, June, September, and December. Drills would be held on the First Tuesdays of January, February, April, May, July, August, October, and November.
